A Real Catholic Modesty Monday Post #1

A Real Catholic Modesty Monday Post

by Rita Davidson

I’ve been so busy trying to finish up, “Immodesty, Satan’s Virtue” for you all. I’m SO disappointed it is taking THIS long. So many of you are so anxious and I’m so anxious to get it to you. I was SO excited how close we were, but then we got really slowed down with the editing. My editor is working hard to make it all it’s meant to be, which I hope means it will be BETTER than the First and Second Editions! Please pray for my editor who is still recovering from her car accident and for her AMAZING help in fixing this book up for me. I’ll be posting more updates very SOON! For those that purchased a copy already, no worries I have some special surprises for you, and for anyone else, you can still grab your copy HERE.

It’s been a while since I posted a modest fashion post, I’ve fallen into a bit of a slump. (February blahs?) so I thought I’d start a new series for Mondays.

“Real Catholic Modesty Mondays” is HERE! To give you some ideas about how I’ve lived for 17 years (and counting) in skirts and what real Catholic modesty means for Catholics. Unfortunately I still see some that think we need to look amish, or mennonite, or muslim to be modest.  sigh  Well I’m here to tell you our REAL CATHOLIC MODESTY should make us unique! 🙂

This was a regular day at home for me. Laundry, my moms nursing care, homeschooling, writing and a greasy fingered mirror! HA (I’ll be sure to clean this up for next time!)

RitaFeb816This is one of my FAVORITE denim skirts. I’m always looking for more denim as I have so few so will be happy to find another. Being plus sized is not easy to dress modest and well, as most plus sized clothing is well BLAH.

photo-4_optThis is one of my FAVORITE necklaces..see that seed? That is a mustard seed, a sample the faith we need!

photo-3_optSo much of the time, we get in a slump and wear the same clothes and same colors all the time. Sometimes adding a bright color, a new accessory will change your whole mood! I found this colorful wood bead bracelet at our Dollar Store for $1! So real Catholic modesty doesn’t HAVE to be expensive!

I hope this inspires you to try something new and to COMMIT to real Catholic modesty this lent! The Church needs your sacrifice!
