McDonalds Corners, ONT – Little Flowers Family Apostolates is now the Official Canadian Coordinator of Gifts for the Unborn, Canada.

Started in Austin, Texas by a man named Dick Jacobs. His idea, thinking at first for his local area was to distribute gift packs, free of charge, to pregnancy centres. Each gift pack would be put in a clear ziplock bag and contain a PICTURE FRAME suitable for framing a baby picture, TRAVEL SIZE BABY-CARE PRODUCTS (shampoo, baby powder), and a PAIR OF BOOTIES. 

The gift packs were distributed at the pregnancy centres to the future mothers whose tests were found to be positive. One mother sat stone faced through all the offers of free clothes etc, but when given the gift pack her face brightened and said, "You mean someone really cares?"

Rita Davidson, founder of  Little Flowers Family Apostolates remarked, “This prolife program grew by leaps and bounds in the U.S. and we would be proud to be part of the grassroots movement to grow this program in Canada.”

The idea is: the frame makes the mother think of what the baby will look like, the baby care products makes them think of caring for the baby, and the booties - which have always been the symbol of pro-life, now make the mother think of the little feet, that always captures their heart.

“With only SEVEN active Pregnancy Crisis centers in Canada and 110,000 Canadian babies lost through abortion each year in Canada - we have alot of catching up to do and there’s no time like right now.” says Davidson.

With 400 Crisis Centers in the U.S. and abroad - More than 77,500 Gift Packages have been given away in the last 11 years.

Others who would like to help; may wish to give infant picture frames, baby-care products or store-bought infant clothing.  Even zip-top plastic bags in pint or quart sizes are welcome.

"We need the support of Prolife Canadians to help make this Program work, and for the Centers who want to participate, to contact us to implement the program. Our Canadian Unborn need every chance if we are going to save them from the horrors of abortion."
