This was kinda a sad day…

by Rita Davidson

I posted this earlier and it got so much attention I thought I better share it here with you. I know I’m known for more important content….well, sometimes? But, we all sure need a laugh sometimes. This was kinda a sad day. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t shed a tear, though I was a bit sad.

After our house fire, we had to replace EVERYTHING. I’m talking silverware, dishes, clothes, furniture, movies, soap and toothbrushes I mean… we spent days in dollarstores at first repurchasing things. It was exhausting!

But this cup…it was kinda special…my fondness of the year 1910…the past…I love the past…it helps me see the present more clearly. For anyone on my Facebook page, I post my cup most mornings so they would have seen this one often.

Anyhow, this was one of my more lighthearted days….I hope you enjoy…

It is with great sadness I say goodbye to 1910… my beloved coffee cup has served me well. On early foggy mornings, and on late nights of hot cocoa he was always there for me. Silently watching over me praying and other times silently sad to be empty for so long. He never talked behind my back, nor was he ever impatient with me. Never swore at me or ignored me. He was a great friend as any friend could be. Every writer needs a good cup as he was…He will be sadly missed… ?? LOL ☕️ #lifeofawriter #lifeismeanttobebeautiful #coffee #justforfun

Look at that? 57,571 people read this? Isn’t that AMAZING?! I am just amazed sometimes at how social media can reach people and bring the truth to us outside of the mainstream news places. And if we can spread the faith too….well I’m all for doing that.

I hope you enjoyed this little ditty… is that a word?

I’m off to find another coffee cup… 🙂

With love,
