Baby steps to wellness…

Hello my friends!
I have SOOOOO missed writing here. Seems my life has gotten very busy just getting ‘well’ that I haven’t even thought of writing (when I’m on the computer). I sure think of dozens of things I want to share with you when I’m NOT on the computer…funny how that happens eh?
You can see my update post from September 20th here:

Well so far my “baby steps” to wellness is starting to add up. I’m now sleeping in my own bed. (you can never know how thankful to sweet Jesus I was for this simple luxury!) I had my visit with both the Lyme Specialist Doctor as well as a new Naturapath that specializes in Lyme. I realized that I can’t just expect one way to cure something as complicated as Lyme…so my gut said I better get in to see this highly recommended Naturopath. I”m SO glad I did. (well EXCEPT she cost me $900 on the first visit $400 in supplements!) Please pray I can keep up with these costs.
I’m also working with my speech therapist as well as my Physio therapist on face exercises and cold lazer treatments on my face…that are ohhhh so painfully slow!
I’m on the last of my antibiotic this week. I have a list of supplements (as long as my arm!) from the Naturopath (and my own research) and feeling more energetic everyday. That is…
 Except my face.
Both the Lyme Doctor and the Naturopath both agreed that my Lyme is all in my FACE… and they both agree (isn’t that amazing?) that if 3 more weeks do not see improvement in my face, then I’m going on a pic line for more aggressive antibiotics… ohhhhh how much I want to see my face working again…but to get rid of this Lymes is well so important too. Now I know they are both related! She said that my recovery is complicated by the mold in our house as well. So I’m going to need all your prayers.
You can’t imagine the SCREAMS our house had when I had my FIRST movement on my face…. Liam was running around screaming and I was dancing.. I think it was dancing…maybe it was just giggling… Either way I wished I had got that on camera…
The movement is agonizing small at first. I mean poor Liam was like, “Mom, what are you showing me?” with this confused look on his face. LOL
As you can imagine my ‘be still’ that I learned not long ago, is slowly being eaten up by all the things I WANT to do. I want to move my face NOW… lol  Go for a walk NOW…. with all this new energy its hard to ‘be still.’ O Lord, tame me…. 🙂
But I’m really trying to remember it is REST I need and as fall time is closing in, I’m trying to find a cozy spot (in this house that still doesn’t feel like a home…) and concentrate on REST and recovery as I can.
On another note: Four our House Building fund the GoFundme page has been updated… GoFundme had to update their payment processors…so for anyone that tried to donate recently sorry! We hope its back to working in the next day or so.
Lastly, for anyone wanting to help support the costs of my Lyme recovery  you can donate directy right on our website  HERE.
So far the costs of my Lyme recovery is much more than I would have imagined with the costs of two rounds of antibiotics (possibly more), supplements needed to support my immune system, and Naturopath helping me get well. (no Canadian healthcare doesn’t pay for everything here) Thank you for understanding how much I want to get well for my family.
With that said, I’m going to sign off for now and hope I’ll have some more intelligent wisdom to share with you next time… 🙂
If you haven’t join me on my Facebook page where I share my days and my improvements daily. I’d love to see YOU there. 🙂
God bless,
 With love,
Rita xxo 🙂
