BEHIND the SCENES “Immodesty, Satan’s Virtue” THE book

Life as a writer is never without it’s surprises. When I first started writing I was barely 20 years old and wrote for some local homeschooling newsletters. After our fire, we recovered a rare paper, now so fragile, but amazing nonetheless. It was a form I filled out when young, (remember those?) I was about 10, where I had wrote what I wanted to be when I ‘grew up”. As young as 10 years I wanted to write. (and Director…hmmmm I wonder what God will have me directing? LOL)
Fast-forward to today – I would never have imagined I would be writing a book as important as “Immodesty, Satan’s Virtue”.
Why is “Immodesty, Satan’s Virtue” important? Not because I’m an amazing writer; but because I happened to stumble upon Satan’s plan for the destruction of the Church and families today.
If you don’t believe me, well you’ll have to read the book I guess. heehee But evidence is all around you that impurity has touched every aspect of the world today.
So where is THE BOOK now?
So while all you have all been so VERY patient with me and so very ANXIOUS to get this book, I thought you might like a quick, BEHIND the SCENES for “THE” book
2007: Writing isn’t without growing pains. And this book is one of the hardest things I have had to write. I started this 3rd Edition, 8 years ago. Yes, you read that right. (I found letters in a recovered hard drive that reminded me).
2014: After our fire 2013, I had to wait until we got back into a safe home, then wait for a new donated laptop and wait for our small hard drive to be salvaged which had THE BOOK manuscript.
Then I had to overcome the fear that gripped me. Fear when I seen the devastation of our home and work. Fear as I watched the direction the world was headed. Fear when I realize my book is going up against THE WORLD. Fear is the great paralyzer because it removes hope.
When the book was saved in 2013, my heart sang, but it was a long uphill battle. Then I had to re-purchase all the titles I needed for reference for proper footnoting. Some of these titles are out of print and some rare and very expensive, so the waiting began.
LATE 2014: Once most of the book references had been purchased then the writing could finally begin. Research also began in some new areas for new chapters.
SUMMER 2015: My editing in full swing; I find out my editor has been in a car accident. This almost doesn’t surprise me as it seems anyone who helps us out with this work suffers in one way or another. But when three other editors all prove not trustworthy I am stalled once again. But the writing continues.
NOVEMBER 10th, 2015: – Book Cover Contest Began
DECEMBER 2nd, 2015 – EARLY REVIEW COPIES SENT
NOVEMBER 29th, 2015 – the BOOK COVER CONTEST was a TIE!!
November 29th, 2015 I hear back from my editor she is well enough to EDIT! Praise GOD!
DECEMBER 4 & 5th, 2015 – I spend two 12 hour days editing and working on the final details on the book.
DECEMBER 8th, 2015: The book was to start shipping December 8th , 2015 in honor of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. After spending a weekend under the weather, I managed to send the completed manuscript to my Editor on December 8th, 2015, so it’s now in VERY good hands. 🙂
