How is your Lent going?

How is YOUR Lent going?

I ‘m hearing from everyone how lent has sure had it’s own agenda this year…. Just as it was starting one thing or another issue began. One sweet friend had her husband air lifted to a hospital with internal bleeding….then we had that school shooting in Florida not so long ago… I am amazed at all the increased difficulties from so many since Lent started…

Lent really has it’s own agenda doesn’t it? Well, you could say, God will have His way…too.

For us, Mark had surgery the day after Ash Wednesday…. as with any surgery there are always worries…how many stories do we hear of a regular surgery turning into an emergency? So you can bet I was TRYING not to worry but sure offering up whatever I could.

Just two days before Mark’s surgery I started up with a Lyme relapse(I think) and was not feeling my best at all. I was very thankful to be well enough to accompany Mark to his surgery. Here we are after Mark’s surgery…he is looking in better shape than me!

Wouldn’t you know it the day after his surgery, everyone in the house began flu symptoms… yes FLU…so the house was awful quiet while everyone began lent with the flu… Even Mark!

We are finally at the end of this (I think?!) it seemed to last forever with the ‘flu brain’ we all seemed to have. Crankiness and being so darn tired… and crankiness…. Did I say CRANKY? ohhhh men when they get sick eh?  lol

So how was your lent? Did you all come down with some sickness too? Or maybe your car finally died or something ridiculous? haha Just remember it’s Lent’s agenda…. by Easter we will all feel SO MUCH better for it and hopefully remember that God plans it all for our good…He really does….

 With much love
