The Skirt Outlet review

by Rita Davidson

Welcome to RealCatholic Modesty Monday Post #3!

Once your heart is overtaken by modesty, it brings us to many interesting places. But finding the RIGHT clothing is the first obstacle to overcome. Having the RIGHT skirt sure makes the job easier to have a modest wardrobe.

I am always searching for new Modesty resources. So couldn’t wait to share this one with you!

I have found the best way to find most things are the local thrift shop as you can find some real gems there others have discarded often from across the country! But there are times it’s kind of hit and miss and when you really need to have a well fitted skirt it’s great to find online places that fit the bill.

When I found The Skirt Outlet, I was very interested in their offers. So ordered two skirts and waited for them to arrive. Now being in Canada I have the added irritation of ordering most things from the USA which increases our costs tenfold. Shipping to Canada can be as much as one skirt these days. ugh

But the package arrived quickly. But I was disappointed when they didn’t fit quite right. But that’s when The Skirt Outlet really shone. Not only were they concerned that they didn’t fit. They wanted to know how they didn’t fit? What my measurements were? Where they didn’t fit, and took many emails to finally help me figure out what would possibly fit me.

I was very impressed by their quick replies, and their heartfelt compassion to help me find something that would work. So, when I decided on this skirt I was anxious to see how it would fit.

Now, I am not the easiest to fit. Being plus sized (yes, T-tapp is helping but not quite there) I have some unique issues from the waist DOWN. 🙂

Being plus sized makes finding REAL denim skirts hard. Plus size Companies have a really STRANGE idea of what works for plus size. Black, black and more BLACK. This is a lightweight, A-Line stretch-denim (my new LOVE) and has LOTS of movement! If you want to be able to climb, sit, work, run, or whatever your day gives you movement in a skirt is a MUST!

Today was another day at home, so this was a comfy set to get regular chores and writing done. I apologize for the lighting in these pictures aren’t so good  (I’m working better lighting ), but it gives you an idea of the nice movement in this skirt, and it has NO SLITS! (don’t get me started on those!)

This one is a KEEPER and today you can get $10 to $25OFF too! OOPs just a few hours left!
