What are you doing to Jesus Christ?

FBApril4What are you doing to Jesus Christ?

What are you doing to Jesus Christ? We all think of the cup of water, given to ‘the least of these little ones’. Yes, we all need to give, but do we give until it hurts?

I was reminded of this recently with our friend ‘Earl”. He is the carpenter who has been helping us since our fire. He decided to cover the cost of the toilet he put in for us. He said, he needed to ‘give until it hurts” and then, “and it doesn’t hurt yet.” he said with a chuckle.

Do we all ‘give until it hurts?” I mean really?

Do we give the ALL of ourselves?

Do we give without looking back?

Do we give without counting the cost?

What about those habits you need to give up?

Those bad TV shows you’ve been too lazy to shut off?

Or the immodest clothes in your closet you refuse to get rid of?

We all have sins we can give up. We all have habits we need to grow out of.

God is waiting for us to ‘grow up’ and start seriously working on our salvation. He has not promised us tomorrow. Will you not start today?

With love,

Wishing you a blessed Easter!

I love reading your bits and pieces. Clear and so easy to understand. I’m a mum of 3, 2 boys and a girl. My eldest is a priest. I have come to realise the more we are involved in the Lord, the more the devil attacks us. We have gone through loads and continue to get attacked..but i offer it up to the Lord. In Him we find refuge. Keep up your amazing work. Amen sister in Christ x

      Thank you Linda,
I really appreciate your coming back here to comment. I really needed to hear this as well. It’s not easy writing as I do. Much of my work is a real struggle, and I think you hit the nail on the head that the more we are involved with God, the more we are attacked by the devil. This lent has been a really difficult time as I tried to edit my book and write.
It’s so nice to know my writings are appreciated.
Thank you so much and wishing you a most blessed Easter,

    Hi Rita,

I really enjoy reading your articles. Great food for thought! I’d really like to do more for Jesus and help bring more people to Him, but what? Possibly writing? I have a character in mind and three possible story lines. Still trying to figure out which one Jesus wants me to write about. By the way, are your e-books available? Please let me know if you will give a class on writing. Meanwhile, please keep writing and sharing! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

      Hello Maria,
Thank you and so glad you are enjoying my writings.
I remembered you wanted to write…but to answer your question about doing more for Jesus, right now the biggest thing you could do would be to pray your rosary every day for the conversion of sinners and reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. That is the best way to bring souls to Jesus right?
Regardless if you write anything that is your first obligation.
As for writing…It sounds like you want to write fiction? or rather stories right?
If so the easiest thing I would do is start writing. The more you write the better you will get. God will speak to you as you are writing, so just start writing. 🙂
And none of our books are available as Ebooks..in fact we have none to sell at this time, until our hard drive is recovered. That is a big cost of $3500 if God even saved it from damage?
I am planning more classes and just praying for what the next topic should be and what would be most helpful with my limited time. If you are on my email list you will be sure to find out.
Thank you for your prayers and your comments. I love to hear from my readers!
      God bless you!
      With love,
      Rita Xo 🙂
