Well hello my friends, I’ve been silent here for FAR too long. It has not been intentional but my life has become one BUSY life these days. (See below)
Some days I LOVE to escape my busy life by painting… I have a new LOVE ❤️ for acrylics … LOVE ? that I’ve been playing with.. here is my second painting! (Yes just my 2nd try… we do have a talented gene in our family that I’ve been neglecting… ?)
But I’m always thinking of you and wondering what you are up too? ? Is your family concerned about the state of the world and Church these days to care what I might post? ? Well maybe… recent news of Francis ?(don’t think I don’t know just cause I don’t speak about it!) ?seems to be the talk everywhere…
But you won’t hear anything from me… why? Well, God is fixing His Church… what is that quote ? While evil might have its day… God will have …
So while I let God fix HIS Church, I’m doing my part by doing God’s will in my life. Right now Gods will for me, is taking care of my elderly mother as her arthritis has made her bedridden and all that entails getting her the support she needs. That meant I became her primary transfer and had to lift her twice daily for her care. My back (and MIND!) nearly buckled under the stress especially as I fought with her nursing care that fought me to get her more support. ?
My next duty was getting this house healthy for our family and me! So last week FINALLY we began our house renovations starting with mold removal and window rot under containment…
That was quite the disruption to our household! While we thought it would go fast, we ended up out of our bedrooms. The boys (well Liam!) thought it was “camping out!” And is all happy about it!
kids will be kids… or rather boys will be boys..?
While we camped out all over the main floor, our mold and rot became evident.
The boys rooms were first because they wanted to get them out of that mold. We were disappointed to see how bad the rot went…. again. ?
The walls were removed as far as the mold went, sometimes MORE than planned.
But our Master bedroom was the worst and left us speechless. You can see the outside through the rot under the windows! ??
Nearly all our walls were removed, including our closets! All needing all new insulation and drywall.
Oh … my … gosh … ??
Was all I could say!? And a few more %{%]%{*]^ (that I THOUGHT about but didn’t !) lol ?
All that rot in my room it’s no wonder I got Lyme and my face is still paralyzed! ?
This is costing more to repair since rotting was more extensive than we thought. And they haven’t even made it to our first floor repairs yet! God help us! ??
So that is what our family has been up to here. Next week we tear apart the first floor including my kitchen… YES KITCHEN! ?
Please pray the rest goes better than our first week. LESS rot sure would be nice ??
ON a happier note… our gardening has sure paid off. Just look at this progress and our lovely, lovely roses and daisies we are enjoying this year…
What a breath of fresh air these beauties have been to us this year! I’ve even learned to talk to my plants! Haha ?
I’m thinking these might make some lovely paintings in the upcoming winter….?

You have NO idea how special you have all become to me. ?And how grateful I am to you all.? Thank you ?
With love,
Rita ??
